Impact of readability is measured by attention, acquisition and retention. Basically, impact is important for a sign to have because it will be more memorable and readable at the same time. Letter readability charts have three values. One value is the size of the letter. The next value is it's impact value. It lists the maximum distance a letter can be read and still have impact on a customer. The final value is the maximum distance a letter can be read.
