Tucson Electric Power gave us the opportunity to wrap their van to help promote staying away from downed power lines. Their snake design is highly effective in communicating the dangers involved. Impact of readability is measured by attention, acquisition and retention. Basically, impact is important for a sign to have because it will be more memorable and readable at the same time. Letter readability charts have three values. One value is the size of the letter. The next value is it's impact value. It lists the maximum distance a letter can be read and still have impact on a customer. The final value is the maximum distance a letter can be read.

Pima Air & Space Museum Building Lettering

Sign Age had the opportunity to letter two hangers at Pima Air & Space Museum. The Count von Galen Hanger was lettered in honor of their Chairman of the Board, as a surprise for his visit to the museum in March. During May the center hanger was lettered with very large Pima Air & Space Museum dimensional lettering which easily catches your eye as you travel down Valencia. The letters were so large (each letter was about 4 feet high) a crane was needed to assist in the installation. Sign Age really enjoyed the opportunity to be part if this exciting project.
