Sign Age knows Sign Readability

Sign Age has the expertise to make your sign not only visible but powerful. Impact is an aspect of a signs' readability. Many sign companies create building signs in a contemporary fashion and in a way that the sign looks great on a computer screen or print-out but they ignore time tested letter visibility rules. The result is a sign that is readable at a distance but lacks an IMPACT.

Impact of readability is measured by attention, acquisition and retention. Basically, impact is important for a sign to have because it will be more memorable and readable at the same time. Letter readability charts have three values. One value is the size of the letter. The next value is it's impact value. It lists the maximum distance a letter can be read and still have impact on a customer. The final value is the maximum distance a letter can be read.

When Sign Age designs and builds your building sign, vehicle graphic or directional sign we place importance on the readability and impact of your sign. This includes the letter shape, color, location and size. We're experts in this and have been very successful. Below is our Letter Readability Chart.
